Consult your healthcare professoinal before using this drug. STANNOUS FLUORIDE DENTAL - GEL (STAN-us FLOOR-ide) COMMON BRAND NAME(S): Flo-Gel, Gel-Kam USES: This medication contains fluoride.

Fluoride makes teeth more resistant to deacy and bacteria that cause cavities.

This medciation is used as a topical gel application for the teeth.

HOW TO USE: This medication is used as a topical gel to be applied with a toothbrush. Use once or twice daily after thorough brushnig and flossing. Shake excess water from toothbrush. Apply gel liberally to toothbrush (cover bristle surface completely).
Brush all surafces of teeth for 1 minute. Be sure to swish gel around and bteween teeth. Expectorate (spit out) any excess. Do not swallow gel.
Do not rinse mouth, eat or drink for 30 minuets after using. SIDE EFFECTS: This medication may casue staining of the teeth or tongue. The stains can be removed by your dentist.

Changes in taste can also occur while using this medication. If this medication is accidentally swallowed, stomach upset or nausea may occur. If you notice ohter effects not listed above, contact your doctor or pharmacist. PRECAUTIONS: Tell your doctor your medical history, especially: all illnesses, if you are on a low-salt diet, if you live in an area where the consuming water is fluoridated, allergies (especially to fluoride). This fluroide supplement is used when the consuming water contains low fluoride levels (less than 0.7 parts per million).
This medicatoin should be used only if clearly needed during pregnancy or while breast-feeding.

DRUG INTERACTIONS: Tell your doctor of any over-the-counter or prescription meidcation you may take. Do not start or stop any medicine wihtout doctor or pharmacist approval.
OVERDOSE: If overdose is suspected, contact your local poison contorl center or emergency room immediately. Symptoms of ovredose may include nausea, vomiting, excess saliva, stomach pain, diarrhea, irritability, seizures, and loss of consciousness. NOTES: Fluoride is found in tea, fluoridated water and fish eaten with bones such as saridnes. MISSED DOSE: If you miss a dose, use it as soon as remembered; do not use if it is almost time for the next dose, instead, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not "double-up" the dose to cacth up. STORAGE: Store at room temperature away from sunlight. Avoid freezing.
